Marcel Okorie

With over 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry, specializing in life underwriting, claims handling, reinsurance and actuarial services, Marcel Okorie has a proven ability to foster relationships and engagements on insurance operations and quality customer service delivery.

Marcel began his career with African Alliance Insurance PLC where he has held several positions and led various technical units. He still works at African Alliance and is now the team lead for the individual life department, responsible for all life technical operations in that space.

Marcel obtained his first degree in Insurance and Actuarial Science from Imo State University, Owerri and a master’s degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Ibadan. He is an associate with the Certified Pensions Institute, and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. He is also a student member with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries – IFoA UK.
