Biodun Stephen

Biodun Stephen is a filmmaker with experience spanning over 30 film projects to her credit.. She began with radio where she part wrote and voiced in the radio series “Straight from the heart” on Ray Power 100.5fm. Post-graduation with a BSC in Philosophy, she worked as an advertising copywriter in Insight Communications. Through this period, she featured on screen in a TV series “Spider” which aired for several years. In 2012 she attended the London Academy for Film and Tv majoring in film production amongst other specializations. Coming back to Nigeria, she began her radio show “Whispers” which aired till 2018. She had her first shot at production with the movie “THE VISIT” which was well acclaimed and was nominated for Best Movie West Africa at the AMVCA. She has produced and directed many notable films over the years earning her No.1 spot on the Iroko Tv viewers choice 3 (three) years on a roll from 2017-2019. From OVY’S VOICE to PICTURE PERFECT, LOOKING FOR BAAMI, JOBA and box office successes with films like BREADED LIFE, INTRODUCING THE KUJUS, and PROGRESSIVE TAILORS CLUB,

AKI AND PAW PAW, SIMPLE LIE amongst many others. Her films have received international acknowledgements and awards across the globe. She has established herself as a distinguished story teller and astute film maker with attention to detail. Her productions with Mnet including LOVE UNSUSAL and RINGER have received various commendations. Her new film SISTA will also be Screened at this years (2022) MIPCOM in Cannes France.. Biodun’s passion is suited in telling stories that are relatable with teachable moments contemplating delightful humour. Her expertise traverse the value chain of film making which include, but not limited to screen play, production and production coordinating, production set conceptualizing, design and Directing. Her goal is to be part of the generation that takes Nollywood to the world with pride.
