Omawumi Ogbe
Omawumi Ogbe is the Managing Partner at GLG Communications, a leading PR & reputation management firm serving global brands out of Lagos, Nigeria. She works with individuals and organisations to achieve their communication goals, building bigger and better brands.
Omawumi holds a postgraduate degree in Media and Communications from the Pan-Atlantic University, where she was the overall best graduating student.
A TEDx speaker and experienced trainer, Omawumi is a certified Life Coach with studies in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Emotional Intelligence and more. She utilises her knowledge and experience to coach career professionals, entrepreneurs and organisations to discover and communicate their true identities.
She is also the founder and Editor-in-Chief at GLAZIA, a digital lifestyle magazine that creates holistic experiences for its teeming readers across the globe.
She has received recognition for her work. She was listed alongside other leaders including Banking and Fintech CEOs like Mitchell Elegbe, Ladi Balogun, Tony Elumelu and more, in the 2017 Charles O’Tudor Brands to Watch list. She received the Coaching Icon Award in 2019, and was named in the 2022 Leading Ladies Africa 100 Most Inspiring Women in Nigeria.
Omawumi serves as an executive member of congress and head of PR, Branding and Communications at the Life Coaches Association of Nigeria (LCAN) where she was recently elected as the association’s first female president.
Outside work, Omawumi enjoys singing, dancing, and volunteering for causes close to her heart including the Lagos Kids Mini-Marathon, the Akada Children’s Book Festival, and the Azeez Amida Foundation where she serves as a member of the board.
