Victor Okhai is a film and television producer, writer, cinematographer and director. He is also an international journalist and Currently freelances for the Bbc, Aljazeera and DWtv.
A graduate of mass communications from Unn with a masters in public relations from the same university, he has a diploma in events management and film festival Organisation from DW Akademie Berlin, A post graduate certificate in film and television production from UCLA and a train the trainers certificate from NAFTI/CIFAP.
He has sat on the juries of several international film festivals. Some of these include, member features jury Fespaco, President, digital jury Cairo international film festival, member Schnitt international film festival etc. He has attended over 100 international film festivals and has delivered papers on film and sat on several international panels on cinema.
His last documentary film Waiting for Hassana qualified for the last Oscars but fell short of getting a nomination.
Mr Okhai is the founder of the international film and broadcast academy, Lagos, Nigeria’s oldest private film school and InShort film festival.
